Computer programming is one of the most interesting topics on the ground if you are only going to follow the right approach. Unlike those major topics in schools, programming must be dealt with in a different way. Beginners programming requires a wannabe programmer to have a complete understanding of how it is done and what its basics are.
What is computer programming?
Programming is just telling your computer to do a job. It is very similar to teaching a toddler how to add numbers. In individual programming, we usually use several languages that a person can understand, such as English or French. In the same way, writing a computer program requires that humans use computer-readable languages such as C, Pascal, Java, and Python.
Human languages are very complex, but humans are learning to use them because of our intelligence. On the other hand, computers are not very smart; the language used in their education is very simple. This is why it is so easy and enjoyable for a person like you to learn one or several languages from computer programs. Once you become familiar with one computer language, it will be easier for you to learn another language.
Things to consider when writing a computer program
1. Set up program logic.
Logic is the backbone of any program. It must be prepared based on the resources permitted by your chosen programming language. The logic must be prepared before the actual coding process. You must create a flow chart for your program, or write an algorithm before you start the process of writing the program.
2. Divide programs into functions.
Most programs allow you to split the program into functions. These posts need to be written with the fewest instructions. They must be designed in a way that can be reused over and over again.
3- Study the syntax for each command you use.
One of the reasons for most programming errors is incorrect use of syntax. There are many programs that have features that can be used to check the syntax of each command as well as the integrated functions that you want to use.
4. Make sure that your code is short.
The fewer instructions, the faster the rate of execution of the program. Most of the time, we use complex logic to get the job done. We only know that this task can be easily accomplished if we use the functions integrated in the programming language. To avoid these problems, you must have sufficient knowledge of all the inbuilt functions available in the program.
5. Ensure that the names and variable functions are logical.
Correct names used in functions and variables make the coding process simpler. While using non-logical variable names, this will not hinder the program's functionality, but it will make it difficult for you to improve or modify this code after that.
Aside from learning different programming languages, computer programming for beginners includes learning the tips mentioned above. So it's best to keep these things in mind if you want to pursue a career in programming.
